Poison Lime represents exactly what we look for at Umami Seed Company: plants selected around flavor first, backed up by the traits that make those flavors worth growing. From gassy Fruity Pebbles cereal to savory lobster and fresh lime zest, this is a population built for growers who want to hunt something genuinely different.
Poison Lime (Zabuza x Limecai) is a flavor-driven feminized cannabis hybrid from Umami Seed Company that brings together two complex genetic lines with very different strengths. The result is a cultivar with an unusually broad terpene range, combining heavy gas, sweet cereal, sharp lime, fruit, and savory funk. Across the population, Poison Lime also shows strong plant structure, impressive yield potential, and select phenotypes with serious potential for solventless extraction.
Poison Lime was created by crossing Zabuza [(Poison Gushers x Zuchi)] with Limecai [Acai Gelato x (Sunset Sherbert x Key Lime Pie)]. This pairing brings the heavier, more aggressive side of Zabuza together with the fruit, cream, and citrus influence of Limecai. The goal was not to produce a simple “lime” cultivar, but to create a population capable of expressing a much wider spectrum of flavors while maintaining the intensity and mouth-coating qualities Umami selects for.
Poison Lime Flavor and Terpene Profile
Flavor is where Poison Lime really separates itself. Phenotypes can vary considerably, but some of our favorites produce an absurdly delicious combination of gasoline and Fruity Pebbles cereal. These plants combine sweet, creamy cereal notes with a dense layer of fuel, creating a profile that is simultaneously nostalgic, fruity, and aggressively gassy.
On the opposite end of the spectrum are phenotypes that lean heavily into the lime side of the family. Some expressions produce a sharp, unmistakable lime zest character mixed with a savory funk that we describe as lobster-like. It is a strange combination on paper, but exactly the kind of unusual flavor profile we look for when hunting new genetics.
Between those extremes, expect combinations of citrus, sweet fruit, creamy dessert notes, gas, and savory funk. Poison Lime was selected around the idea that memorable cannabis should have an identity of its own rather than simply resemble everything else in the garden.
Growth and Cultivation Characteristics
Poison Lime grows with plenty of vigor and can stretch approximately 1.5–2.5x during flower, depending on phenotype and environment. Growers should plan their canopy accordingly, particularly when working with more vigorous selections.
One of the standout characteristics of this cross is its ability to stack hard and produce substantial flower weight. Poison Lime performs particularly well in the yield department, making it an interesting option for growers who want distinctive flavor without sacrificing production.
Flowering time generally falls between 8 and 9 weeks, or approximately 56–63 days.
Because Poison Lime contains a meaningful amount of phenotypic variation, we recommend treating a pack as a true pheno hunt. Different plants can lean toward different sides of the family in aroma, flavor, morphology, resin characteristics, and stretch.
Solventless and Hash Potential
Certain Poison Lime phenotypes also show strong potential for washing and solventless hash production. Resin performance varies across the population, so this is not a cross where every seed should automatically be treated as a dedicated washer. Instead, growers hunting specifically for hash production should evaluate individual plants for resin quality, trichome characteristics, yield, and post-wash flavor.
The best selections can bring together the traits we care about most: distinctive flavor, strong flower production, and resin worth exploring further.
